The move away from silo applications
It has been a while since I last blogged, but that doesn't mean nothing happened or I have nothing to say. In the last couple of months I have started to seriously use RSS feeds to my mobile devices (ok ok, I might be a late adopter in this case (well, I think I still belong to the first 15%). It's great to get this information coming to you, already filtered by what you are interested in. I use it twice a day when commuting to the office and it's a great way to spend 25 minutes getting updated. Instead of you browing to the same 5 sies every day, the sites come to you.
One of the key things I think is missing is a combination of Communication and RSS feeds. Many times I want to share one article or feed with colleagues or friends and want to call them to ask if they have read it. Hence, there is a need (at least for this humble part of the 15%) to integrate these two applications in one.
Again a strong case to move away from silo or single purpose applications but smartly integrate these so that people can communicate, share, and have fun more often from any device
